Gothic Feelings
Hold the cute packages with bows in pink,
And give me the velvets and lace of black,
Not because I don’t like color,
But because my desire is mood and feeling.
The Sun is a friend,
But one I love for its warmth,
Not for the tan it brings,
Turning flesh first, red before the brown arrives.
I love the age of the darkness,
Its presence and the way I can feel,
Knowing that I am connected to the Universe,
To life where it comes from and will return, eventually.
So, give me your blacks, your muted burgundy,
Give me your spirit, and your moods,
Give me your feeling, and emotions,
And let us show the world what it means
to feel for each other.

A statement, a poetic manifesto, that Goth isn’t just about wearing your feelings, it’s about embracing and being your feelings.
Interesting way of demonstrating that you are indeed the light :)
